revision 94264

Release overview

Release wb-2602 can be installed on Wiren Board 6, 7.2–7.3, 7.4, 8.4, 8.5 and 8M controllers. Controller software is distributed in releases and can be updated through apt or the web interface.

Automation scenarios

  • The scenario configurator moved from Settings → Configs → Automation scenarios to the Rules menu. The wb-rules code editor is now under Rule editor.
  • A Schedule scenario was added. One or more actions can be scheduled for selected weekdays and times from the web interface.
  • Fixed loss of scenario status after restarting wb-rules.
  • Fixed incorrect scenario operation in debug mode.

System

  • Restarts the modem if it becomes stuck in the “connected, supported IP families unknown” state.
  • Supports WBE2-I-CAN-ISO v.2 on WB8.
  • Adds HDMI output on WB8.5.2 and later, with audio and hardware acceleration; WBE2-HDMI is required.
  • Includes preparatory changes for an expanded root filesystem.
  • Adds bash-completions for improved terminal completion.
  • Removes the NetworkManager restart limit and reworks nginx restarting.
  • Fixes incorrect counter activations in wb-mqtt-gpio.

Controller web interface

Added HTTPS, authentication and user accounts with differentiated permissions. See user authentication and authorization.

Dashboards and widgets

  • Add existing widgets, preview them and clone them.
  • Reorder widget controls by drag and drop, add separators and use a JSON code editor.
  • Show a list of affected dashboards when editing a widget.
  • The Add widget button opens a choice of existing widgets or a new widget.
  • Compact mode is renamed Hide labels and is off by default for new widgets.
  • Improved keyboard navigation and fixed display and layout errors.
  • Combined text and SVG dashboard tables, added hiding dashboards from the menu, and enabled drag-and-drop reordering that also changes menu order.

General interface and rule debugging

  • Moved Rule debugging into the menu, updated menu icons and added menu collapsing.
  • Removed the top bar and moved connection status into the menu.
  • A controller name can now be set and displayed at the top of the menu.
  • The rule-debugging console is resizable and can appear below or beside the content.
  • Added message-type filters and clearing the console.
  • The console now shifts content or adds scrolling instead of covering it.

wb-mqtt-serial

  • Fixed handling of on_value and off_value larger than 0xffff, including 0xffffffff.
  • Added Fast Modbus discovery over Modbus TCP.
  • The device configurator can read settings from Modbus devices. Checkboxes were removed to simplify the interface.
  • Configuration values, device values and user edits are merged automatically to keep the configuration compact.
  • Migration to a new template preserves existing settings.
  • If a template supports a function that the device firmware lacks, a warning is shown and that parameter cannot be changed.
  • Added a mobile layout.

wb-rules

  • Fixed crashes when calling a method on a remote control and with non-string controls.
  • whenChanged no longer triggers on the topic's first publication.
  • Fixed and accelerated virtual-device deletion.

wb-mcu-fw-updater

  • Added firmware updating for the WB-MSW v.4 CO₂ sensor.
  • Fixed socat operation for firmware updates over Modbus TCP.

Device templates

  • WB-MIO, WB-MIO-E v.2, WB-MGE v.3: a template for faster configuration of connected devices.
  • MST-24, NT60: updated stepper-driver templates, adding guard_interval_us, a delay before transmission to the serial port.
  • WB-MWAC v.1/v.2: selection of normally open or normally closed leak sensors, indication when a sensor dries, an audible alert after leaving Leak mode, and buzzer control through inputs, a register and Safety Mode on v.2.
  • WB-UPS v.3: parallel operation, combining power and battery capacity.
  • WB-MAI2-mini/CC: conversion of measured current into a physical quantity.
  • WB-MAI6 2.2.0: NTC types 10k/100k B=3950, 10k B=3435, 5k/10k B=3470 and 1.8k B=3380; expanded Pt50/Pt100/Pt500/Pt1000 resistance-thermometer range down to −220 °C.
  • WB-MS/WB-MSW: cleaning mode for temperature and humidity sensors on WB-MSW v.4, WB-MSW v.3 and WB-MS v.2 with SHT40.
  • WB-MR: Curtain control renamed Actuator control; its timeout can be disabled for two-speed motors; per-channel activation and reactivation delays.
  • WB-LED/WB-MRGBW-D: CCT-strip power-normalization mode.
  • WB-MAP3ET: current-transformer configuration parameters.
