WBIO-DI-HVD-16 known issues
ERRHVD160001: incorrect lower activation-voltage limit on the front label
Affected devices
WBIO-DI-HVD-16 batches v2.2A, v2.2B, v2.2C, v2.2D, v2.2E, v2.2F, v2.2G, v2.2H, v2.2I, v2.2J, v2.2K, v2.2L, v2.2M, v2.2N, v2.2O, v2.2P, v3.2A, v3.2B/1, v3.2B, v3.2C, v3.2C/1 and v3.2D.
Description
The front label states an operating-voltage range of 50–250 V. The stated 50 V lower input-activation threshold is incorrect. The actual threshold is greater than 110 V AC.
Cause
The circuit was modified to improve the stability of the lower activation threshold. The threshold increased, but the front label was not updated.
Planned correction
Corrected labels starting with batch v3.2D/1.
Recommendations
None specified.
ERRHVD160002: inputs do not activate at 110 V AC
Affected devices
Listed batches: v2.2A, v2.2B, v2.2C, v2.2D, v2.2E, v2.2F, v2.2G, v2.2H, v2.2I, v2.2J, v2.2K, v2.2L, v2.2M, v2.2N, v2.2O, v2.2P, v3.2A, v3.2B/1, v3.2B, v3.2C, v3.2C/1 and v3.2D.
Description
Some or all inputs may fail to activate at the specified 110 V AC.
Cause
The optocoupler datasheet permits a wide current transfer ratio (CTR) range of 600–7,500%. Most devices have a CTR clustered around a common value and meet the specified input-activation voltage. Optocouplers near the lower 600% limit require a higher activation voltage.
Planned correction
In subsequent batches.
Recommendations
Warranty replacement if the described problem occurs.
