1.18.4 (30.05.2022)
Final fail-safe implementation. Some features had already appeared on some devices from 1.18.0.
Each output now has an independent fail-safe state chosen to minimise harm to the controlled equipment. It also assumes this state at power-on when register 6 is set to mode 0.
Safety Mode handles abnormal conditions such as loss of controller communication. For ordinary relays it activates after a bus polling timeout; MR6C v.3 can also use loss of bus power, with selectable trigger conditions. The default timeout is now 10 seconds, configurable from 1 to 65534.
Each output can be configured in Safety Mode to
- assume its fail-safe state
- stop or start responding to inputs, according to its input configuration
Power-on behaviour register 6 also gains option 2: set output according to input state. This works only with Latching switch mode, in which the relay follows the input. It prevents input/output mismatch if the input changed while the device was off.
