2.9.3 (27.05.2025)

  • Circuit design improved by removing EEPROM

2.9.2 (04.03.2025)

  • Added a register to restore default settings
  • Fixed unexpected behaviour when invalid values are written to some registers ERRMODBUS003
  • Fixed extra pulses during I2C initialization (operation was unaffected)
  • Fixed a device becoming unresponsive to very frequent Modbus requests (not observed on WB-MDM3)
  • Fixed initial dimmer brightness: it was 0 instead of 50 ERRMDM13
  • Fixed freezes with certain combinations of upper and lower dimming limit registers ERRMDM12
  • Fixed writing values above 255 s to the communication-loss timeout register for Safety Mode ERRMDM14

2.9.1 (11.11.2024)

2.9.0 (03.09.2024)

  • Lighting scene support removed

2.8.0 (21.08.2024)

  • Added lighting scenes, Safety Mode and power-on actions
  • Added support for latching switches
  • Added register 119: minimum VDDA voltage since power-on
  • Fixed Modbus responses to packets addressed to 0xFD that contain no Fast Modbus commands ERRMODBUS001
  • Fixed possible rare freezes at power-on

2.7.1 (22.11.2023)

  • Fixed switching-mode delay when turning off a channel with brightness above 1% ERRMDM11
  • Added register 131 to enter the bootloader with current communication settings; requires bootloader 1.3.0 or later
  • Fixed the response to discovery command 0x46 ERRMODBUS002
  • Fixed uninitialised high bits in bit-field replies ERRMODBUS004

2.7.0 (02.10.2023)

  • New dimmer firmware architecture
  • Support for different press types and press counters
  • Freely configurable input-to-output mapping
  • Due to technical limitations, devices of revisions v2.6B and earlier no longer support new firmware; their final version is 2.6.6. They remain usable but receive no new features.

2.6.6 (03.07.2023)

  • Fixed closure counters for inputs 4–6 ERRMDM09
  • This is the final firmware for device revisions v2.6B and earlier (signatures mdm3, mdm3_042, mdm3_26).

2.6.4, 2.6.5 (05.12.2022)

  • Fixed V_IN low-pass filter initialization
  • Faster overcurrent protection response

2.6.2, 2.6.3 (05.12.2022)

  • Minor Modbus fixes

2.6.1 (01.12.2022)

  • Fixed a gradual stack overflow causing unpredictable behavior

2.6.0 (28.11.2022)

2.5.3 (26.09.2022)

Added support for new EEPROM chips

2.5.2 (23.09.2022)

Fixed: ERRMDM08 Modbus at 115200 baud and 100% brightness now operates reliably

2.5.1 (28.04.2022)

Fixed missed pulses when channel Raw Duty values are close together.

2.5.0 (25.04.2022)

Added PLL (phase-locked loop) to support a wide range of input frequencies (e.g. 60 Hz) and noisy signals.

2.4.2 (18.03.2022)

Improved state storage in EEPROM.

2.4.1 (15.02.2022)

Software handling of overcurrent protection is available only for signatures mdm3_26 and mdm3G26. Other signatures have physical overcurrent protection but no software handling.

2.4.0 (14.02.2022)

  • Improved overcurrent protection: outputs turn off for 3 s when OCP trips; the issue is described in ERRMDM01
  • Added OCP status register: holding register 100 (0 — normal; 1 — tripped)

2.3.3 (11.02.2022)

  • Fixed bug ERRMDM06 — writing low Raw Duty values no longer fully turns on the switches
  • Minimum rise/fall time limited to 1 ms/%
  • Added soft start: raw_duty rises gradually from 0 to min_duty when turned on. This is intended to resolve ERRMDM01.

2.3.2 (07.02.2022)

Fixed: more accurate interpolation of the dimming curve near its limits, ERRMDM05

2.3.1 (02.02.2022)

  • Fixed a brief load activation when VIN is applied, which occurred in half of cases.
  • Fixed rare skipped half-cycles in trailing-edge mode when the raw value was around 1000 µs.
  • Fixed CH2 and CH3 not working in switching mode when CH1 was off.
  • Fixed the CH1 load not actually switching off in switching mode.
  • Improved Modbus communication stability at high baud rates.
