Relay loads and interference suppression
Selected translated load and interference guidance for WB-MR6C v.3.
Load limits
Use the module's electrical ratings, not only the bare relay rating. WB-MR6C v.3 uses HF32FV-16/5-HLTF(590) normally open relays. Each output is rated for 10 A at 230 V AC; the maximum continuous value is 16 A and the 20 ms inrush limit is 80 A. Each group of three outputs is limited to a total rated 20 A by the terminal arrangement.
Load type matters: motors, transformers and electronic lighting can have starting currents considerably above their steady-state current. Verify the load's inrush and switching requirements and use a suitably rated contactor where direct switching is unsuitable.
Inductive interference
Switching an inductive load can generate high-frequency transients of several kilovolts. These can couple into nearby wiring, disrupting communication or resetting devices. Suppress transients at the load with a suitable snubber or other protection appropriate to the load and supply type.
Separate signal wiring from power circuits and follow the RS-485 wiring and grounding guidance. Check manufacturer requirements for the actual contactor or actuator.
